At Connected Kids, our name says it all.
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to be connected; connected to Jesus, connected to their church family, and connected to a place where they are loved, understood and celebrated.
From September, Connected Kids will have our own dedicated room, right next to the Family Hub. This gives us an exciting opportunity to create a space that is welcoming, accessible and designed with our children in mind, a space where every child can feel safe, comfortable and ready to learn and engage.
For some of our children, that connection looks a little different. It might mean adapting activities, using visual resources, creating quieter spaces, or simply taking the time to build trust and relationships. We will be bringing in visual timetables and resources to help children understand what is happening and engage with the teaching in a way that works for each individual child.
It could include helping a child join in with the wider Primary Kids worship time in a way that works for them, rather than expecting them to fit into a one-size-fits-all programme.
When we remove barriers, we create opportunities for children to encounter Jesus in ways that are meaningful to them.
Jesus welcomed every child, and so do we. Together, let's make sure every child has the opportunity to connect – with Jesus, with their church family, and with the incredible future God has planned for them.
