WHAT WE'VE BEEN UPTO
Hi Parents & Carers!
Over April, we’ve been enjoying our series “Thank You God for Food,” where we’ve been helping the children explore the amazing ways God provides for us. We’ve discovered together that even something as simple and everyday as the food we eat can remind us of God’s generosity, creativity, and care for us.
As part of this series, our 3–4 year olds will be visiting the Food Centre on Sunday 26th April. This will be a lovely opportunity for them to see how food can be shared with others in need and to put into practice what they’ve been learning about generosity. If your child is able to, we would love them to bring along a simple food item to donate on the day.
The children have also been learning some joyful songs throughout the month, which they’ve really enjoyed singing together. You might like to listen at home and join in with them:
“12345 I Know Jesus Is Alive,” “Prayer is Like a Telephone,” and “When I Go Climbing.” These are a great way to keep the learning going beyond Sunday mornings and hear what they’ve been engaging with in Kids Church.
This term’s memory verse will carry us through the summer, and it would be wonderful to learn it together as a family. You could even chat about what it means as you go about everyday life.
Psalm 136:1 – Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever.
