WHAT WE'VE BEEN UPTO

After our Jonah series, our Primary Kids will be diving into an exciting new 6-week series called “Faith in Action.”

Through the book of Acts, we’ll be discovering what happens when ordinary people are filled with the Holy Spirit and begin to live out their faith in extraordinary ways. Our aim is to help the children see that faith is not just something we believe, but something we do—at school, at home, with friends, and in everyday life.

Over the six weeks, the children will explore:
✨ Pentecost – discovering the gift of the Holy Spirit and what it means for us today, and learning that God gives us power and presence to live for Him.
🤝 Unity in the church – seeing how the early church came together, shared everything, and showed love for one another in practical ways.
🛡️ Standing firm in faith – exploring stories of boldness and courage, and what it looks like to keep following Jesus even when it’s hard or different.

Each Sunday will include engaging bible teaching, worship, and hands-on activities to help bring these powerful stories to life in a way children can understand and apply.

As we move towards the summer, we’ll also be introducing a really exciting strand exploring science and the Bible together. Rather than being in conflict, we’ll help the children see how science actually points us towards the wonder of God’s creation. Through creative and interactive sessions, we’ll explore things like space, the water cycle, and the natural world—helping children discover how God is at work in everything around them.

The heart behind this series is simple: faith is something to be lived out, not just learned about. Our prayer is that every child will begin to see that God is with them, God works through them, and their everyday actions can make a real difference.

We can’t wait to journey through Acts with your children and to see their faith come alive in new and practical ways this term.

With love,
The Primary Kids Team
Since the spring of last year, we’ve introduced Encounter Sundays for our Primary Kids on the last Sunday of each month. These special mornings include live worship and create space for the children to slow down, listen, and wait on the Holy Spirit together.

It’s been a really special time, and we’ve loved seeing so many of the children engage with God and hear from Him in their own ways.

Our upcoming Encounter Sundays are on 26th April, 31st May, and 28th June.

We’re really excited to share that Kids Access now has its own dedicated space within Primary Kids! You’ll find it behind the curtain on the left, in the area previously used by Year 3–4. This move has already been a great success, and it’s been wonderful to see the children feeling more settled, supported, and confident as they engage with church life.

If you—or someone you know—has a heart for supporting children with additional needs, we’d love to hear from you. It’s a brilliant team to be part of, and there are lots of ways to get involved. Please do get in touch with Ettie at ettie.robins@kingscommunitychurch.co.uk to find out more.

Our current Primary Kids giving total from January is a whopping £90.58! Thank you so much for encouraging your kids in this area- we love that our kids are learning generosity at such a young age.
